a 40 day blog wins! but meditation is a much longer project.

They, not the couple in the pictures! but Timothy Goodman and Jessica Walsh who live in Manhattan decided to write a blog called forty days of dating alongside doing just that as an experiment.  The experiment was to see if two long term platonic friends could make it through to romantic love by having a 40 day dating project starting with a good dinner in New York, progressing through to actual romance, culminating in a proper old romp and mutual affection.  And all through the experiment, they blogged and they had 300,000 readers a day!  300,000 people wanted to know if they would become a forever couple.  But it seems they didn't.  Why not is one question but the other question is why did 300,000 people a day want it to work, I imagine that there might have been a few who didn't.  This blog gets about average 100 people a day, that is 199 on the best day and 35 or so when the cricket or Downton Abbey are on.  I think that's a triumph for interest in meditation but meditation should really be the most interesting thing because it will work when lots of other things don't.  Take it from me! All through the life of this blog I have found mentions of meditation as anti ageing, anti dementia, anti anxiety but it always takes second place to the rest of the research.  Look, if meditation does all this, we should be flagging it up because it will help when there are so many grannies living to old age by keeping them reasonable.  So, go blog readers go, get google plussing and twittering and facebooking, let's tell everyone that meditation improves your health, your happiness and dare I say it, your long long long lived marriage.  The last it does by giving you a chance to take each day as a new one, to dissolve the inevitable desire to be right all the time or to put him or her right, it makes you a bit more graceful in defeat, more loving in difficult times and puts a smile on yours and his or her face a bit more often.
